The Group, via its entities in both Greece and the UK, has been involved in shipping since 1971. Through the years and during very different market cycles, about 70 vessels of various types have been purchased, operated, managed and sold, allowing knowledge and skill to be attained in both the good and the bad markets.

 

Additionally, it operates ships under time charters in order to execute their transport commitments, under their Contracts of Affreightment.

Lilimar S.A. is actively involved in chartering both for the Group’s managed vessels as well as competitively in the open market and through the years has gained extremely good relations with its principals.

 

Diversification is profoundly significant for the Group and thus the shipping activities constantly vary as far as the type of ships is concerned, always with the aim of benefiting shipowners. Depending on the market trends, the types of vessels under management vary as follows:

  • CONTAINER VESSELS

  • MULTI PURPOSE SHIPS

  • CAR CARRIERS

  • CHEMICAL TANKERS

  • REEFER SHIPS

  • BULK CARRIER CONVERTED INTO A CEMENT TERMINAL, BASED IN HULL, U.K. SUPPLYING  THE NORTH OF ENGLAND WITH BULK CEMENT

 

In addition to the above maritime activities, there has been heavy involvement in the Container Liner business by operating 16 Container vessels serving 18 Intermed ports, transporting about 125,000 TEUs annually.
